“’I was so angry at the misdiagnoses for so many years,’ she says, “being told that it was anxiety, in my head, female stuff.” this stuck out to me because a lot of the time women’s concerns go under looked when they go to the doctor, for example my mom had been suffering from some horrible shoulder pain, the doctors kept saying she was fine and it was just sore, until she took my step dad with her and the doctors quickly found out that she has some type of rotated disk in her shoulder, I can’t quite remember what exactly it is but the recovery time for the surgery is 6 months.
