“The term ‘racism’ had taken on its broad, all encouraging, ‘systematic’ meaning the idea that’ we live in a racist society’ and that this inbuilt, inescapable institutional racism is policed by a thousand and one micro aggressions.” this line stuck out to me because no one realizes or thinks of the micro aggressions or other actions, like for example as someone who is Hispanic, and when I was a little girl id feel different from other people when people would only talk about white princesses
